Preliminary Project Cost for Vadnais Heights

About the Project
The County Road D Improvements Project project is the first phase of a multi-phase process through Ramsey County for improving County Road D in Vadnais Heights, Little Canada and Maplewood. Improvements include connecting stormwater facilities to address drainage issues both along and south of County Road D in the Greenbriar neighborhood. The remainder of County Road D is scheduled to be addressed in 2023.

Financing for this project will be a combination of State Aid funds and assessments to benefited, abutting property owners. Per the County’s cost participation guidelines, both cities would need to contribute approximately 10% of the project’s cost. The current conceptual estimate of the project cost is $1,831,800 of which Little Canada and Vadnais Heights would be responsible for $165,900 each.

A Feasibility Study will be conducted by Bolton & Menk, Inc. in early 2020. City staff will also conduct public open houses, hearings and will notify affected residents by mail.
